Job summary

Aramark in London is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team. The role involves supporting food hygiene, basic prep, and maintaining cleanliness across kitchen areas. You will help manage stock and assist with deliveries while promoting a safe, welcoming environment for both staff and customers.

This permanent position offers 40 hours per week, with a starting pay of £14.80 per hour. Uniforms, meals on shift, and benefits are provided; applicants must have UK work rights and reside in the UK.

Qualifications

• Must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years and have legal right to work.
• Able to assist with basic food preparation and processing as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across kitchen surfaces and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all team members adhere to food hygiene standards and procedures, reporting issues to management.
• Assist with basic food preparation, such as peeling and chopping vegetables.
• Manage usage and stock of chemical products per procedures.
• Maintain high level of cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen surfaces, equipment and storage areas.
• Review team standards and implement additional cleaning tasks as required.
• Oversee and support washing of all kitchenware and utensils; direct deep cleaning of equipment, floors, fridges and storerooms.
• Support management of receiving and organizing deliveries; ensure proper stock storage and flag low supplies.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee & support the washing of all kitchenware, cookware, and utensils. Direct the deep cleaning of all kitchen equipment, floors, fridges, and storerooms.
• Support the management of receiving and organization of food and supply deliveries. Ensure stock is stored correctly and communicate when supplies are low.
