Job summary

Restaurant Associates is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. The role focuses on keeping the kitchen clean, safe and well-organised, working alongside chefs to maintain high hygiene standards.

The position is full-time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) with some flexibility for occasional events and changing business needs. Training and a comprehensive benefits package accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or catering environment is desirable but not essential.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Willing to learn and take on new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Washing, cleaning and storing kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery and utensils.
• Keeping kitchen floors, walls, work surfaces and storage areas clean and tidy.
• Removing rubbish and recycling in line with site procedures.
• Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation and general kitchen organisation.
• Completing and recording cleaning schedules.
• Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation when required.
• Following all Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH procedures.

We’re looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team and play an important role in keeping the kitchen clean, safe and running smoothly.

The Role

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. While the role is primarily Monday to Friday, some flexibility will be required to support occasional events and changing business needs.

Working alongside our chefs and wider kitchen team, you’ll help maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation, ensuring everyone has a safe and efficient environment to work in.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Washing, cleaning and storing kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery and utensils.
