Searcys has an incredible new venue opening in one of London's most iconic, historical spaces this year and is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the team.

We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Porter to assist the Kitchen Team in the daily operations of the kitchen. As a Searcys Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness and assisting with basic food preparation.

The role is based in the newly refurbished Sainsbury's wing at The National Gallery. Searcys is proud to collaborate with the world-famous, Michelin-starred Chef Giorgio Locatelli on this project.

Salary: £14.85 per hour

Working 5 days over 7, with gallery hours from 10-6, and Fridays from 10-9.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, including sinks, countertops, and floors.
• Wash and sanitize utensils, dishes, and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness in storage areas and adhere to food safety standards.
• Assist with waste management and recycling.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with food prep, such as washing vegetables and chopping ingredients.
• Organize and store kitchen supplies for easy access.
• Help unload deliveries and store items appropriately.

Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is desirable but not essential. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a commitment to hygiene, is important. Ability to work as part of a team is essential.
