Job summary

Yard Sale Pizza is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our vibrant team in London. You will work with the back of house, help keep the kitchen clean, support chefs during busy service and prepare ingredients to ensure smooth operations.

We value motivated team players, offer evening shifts around 6pm to 11.30pm, paid overtime, and extensive training with strong opportunities for progression. Free pizza on shift and generous discounts are part of the perks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willingness to learn and progress in a kitchen role.
• Able to work evenings and weekends as required by service.

Responsibilities

• Work with the back of house team, maintaining the kitchen to high standards.
• Support the chefs during busy service.
• Keep the kitchen running efficiently and spotlessly clean during and after service.
• Clean utensils and dishes alongside general kitchen duties.
• Help prepare ingredients to ensure smooth service during peaks.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures in the kitchen.

Yard Sale Pizza is on the search for a Kitchen Porter to join our amazing team!

Who are we?

Yard Sale Pizza fired up the oven in 2014, starting with weekly supper clubs from our backyard in Hackney. We now offer delivery, dine-in and takeaway in 17 of our favourite neighbourhoods. Known for our collaborations, we’ve teamed up with illustrators, musicians, international chefs & local eateries- all on the quest for the perfect pie!

We’ve won London’s most-loved restaurant in Time Out’s 2016 Love London awards, were awarded Best Cheap Eats in the Observer Food Monthly Awards in 2017, and were voted London’s favourite pizza in Time Out’s inaugural Clash of the Slices in 2022.

What will I be doing?

• Working with the back of house team, maintaining the kitchen to high standards.
• Supporting the chefs during busy service.
• Keeping the kitchen running efficiently and spotlessly clean during and after service.
• Cleaning utensils and dishes alongside general kitchen duties.
• Helping with preparing ingredients for the chefs to ensure a smooth and efficient service during peak periods.
• Adhering to health and safety procedures within the kitchen.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience with a fast-paced environment.
• An individual who is keen to learn new skills and progress.
