Job summary

Yard Sale Pizza Hackney Road is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our fast-paced kitchen team in London. You’ll work with the back of house to keep the kitchen spotless, support chefs during busy service and help prep ingredients as needed.

Join a young, expanding brand known for great pizza and a friendly team. Evening shifts around 6pm, with overtime paid and opportunities for progression and training.

Qualifications

• Looking for a motivated team player with experience in fast-paced kitchens.
• Keen to learn new skills and progress within the team.
• Previous kitchen porter or similar experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and high standards with the back of house team.
• Support chefs during busy service and keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Clean utensils, dishes and assist with food prep as needed.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures in the kitchen.

Yard Sale Pizza is on the search for a Kitchen Porter to join our amazing team!

Who are we?

Yard Sale Pizza fired up the oven in 2014, starting with weekly supper clubs from our backyard in Hackney. We now offer delivery, dine-in and takeaway in 17 of our favourite neighbourhoods. Known for our collaborations, we’ve teamed up with illustrators, musicians, international chefs & local eateries- all on the quest for the perfect pie!
We’ve won London’s most-loved restaurant in Time Out’s 2016 Love London awards, were awarded Best Cheap Eats in the Observer Food Monthly Awards in 2017, and were voted London’s favourite pizza in Time Out’s inaugural Clash of the Slices in 2022.
We’re a young and fast-growing company who offer plenty of career progression for hard working and talented individuals.

Our 5th store – within touching distance of Shoreditch. As well as our usual casual dine-in and takeaway vibes, we will be serving the local area with our dedicated delivery service, and another exclusive for this site sees us opening a basement bar for a more secluded dining experience, perfect for a date or to rent our the whole area for parties!

What will I be doing?

• Working with the back of house team, maintaining the kitchen to high standards.
• Supporting the chefs during busy service.
• Keeping the kitchen running efficiently and spotlessly clean during and after service.
• Cleaning utensils and dishes alongside general kitchen duties.
• Helping with preparing ingredients for the chefs to ensure a smooth and efficient service during peak periods.
• Adhering to health and safety procedures within the kitchen.

What are we looking for?

• Someone who is motivated and a great team player,
• Previous experience with a fast-paced environment.
• An individual who is keen to learn new skills and progress.
