Job summary

Yard Sale Pizza is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our team in London. You will work with the back of house to keep the kitchen clean, support chefs during busy service, and help with prep and setup for smooth peak periods.

We offer training and opportunities for progression, with evening shifts around 6pm–11:30pm. Overtime paid, holiday pay options, and employee discounts including free pizza on shift.

Qualifications

• Motivated and a great team player.
• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred.
• Keen to learn new skills and progress within the team.

Responsibilities

• Work with the back of house team to maintain kitchen cleanliness and standards.

Yard Sale Pizza is on the search for a Kitchen Porter to join our amazing team!

Who are we?

Yard Sale Pizza fired up the oven in 2014, starting with weekly supper clubs from our backyard in Hackney. We now offer delivery, dine-in and takeaway in 17 of our favourite neighbourhoods. Known for our collaborations, we’ve teamed up with illustrators, musicians, international chefs & local eateries- all on the quest for the perfect pie!

We’ve won London’s most-loved restaurant in Time Out’s 2016 Love London awards, were awarded Best Cheap Eats in the Observer Food Monthly Awards in 2017, and were voted London’s favourite pizza in Time Out’s inaugural Clash of the Slices in 2022.

We’re a young and fast-growing company who offer plenty of career progression for hard working and talented individuals.

We’re buzzing to be opening our 12th Yard Sale Pizza in North London's Tufnell Park in April 2024. Bringing our award-winning handmade, hand-delivered pizzas to this stunning neighbourhood! We’ll be serving up London’s ultimate delivery pizza, all delivered by our amazing team of drivers through our in-house delivery service, with seats for dine-in customers.

What will I be doing?

• Working with the back of house team, maintaining the kitchen to high standards.

• Supporting the chefs during busy service.

• Keeping the kitchen running efficiently and spotlessly clean during and after service.

• Cleaning utensils and dishes alongside general kitchen duties.

• Helping with preparing ingredients for the chefs to ensure a smooth and efficient service during peak periods.

• Adhering to health and safety procedures within the kitchen.

What are we looking for?

• Someone who is motivated and a great team player,

• Previous experience with a fast-paced environment.

• An individual who is keen to learn new skills and progress.
