Job summary

Yard Sale Pizza Crystal Palace is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team. You’ll work with the back of house team, maintain the kitchen to high standards, support chefs during busy service, and help keep the kitchen clean and efficient.

Evening shifts around 6pm to 11:30pm, overtime paid, holiday pay options, and loads of training and growth opportunities. There is potential to become a trainee pizza chef within a few months in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Motivated and a great team player.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Keen to learn new skills and progress.

Responsibilities

• Working with the back of house team, maintaining the kitchen to high standards.
• Supporting the chefs during busy service.
• Keeping the kitchen running efficiently and spotlessly clean during and after service.
• Cleaning utensils and dishes alongside general kitchen duties.
• Helping with preparing ingredients for the chefs to ensure a smooth and efficient service during peak periods.
• Adhering to health and safety procedures within the kitchen.

Yard Sale Pizza is on the search for a Kitchen Porter to join our amazing team!

Who are we?

Yard Sale Pizza fired up the oven in 2014, starting with weekly supper clubs from our backyard in Hackney. We now offer delivery, dine-in and takeaway in 17 of our favourite neighbourhoods. Known for our collaborations, we’ve teamed up with illustrators, musicians, international chefs & local eateries- all on the quest for the perfect pie!
We’ve won London’s most-loved restaurant in Time Out’s 2016 Love London awards, were awarded Best Cheap Eats in the Observer Food Monthly Awards in 2017, and were voted London’s favourite pizza in Time Out’s inaugural Clash of the Slices in 2022.
We’re a young and fast-growing company who offer plenty of career progression for hard working and talented individuals.

Our third shop south of the river and we are so excited to be joining the Crystal Palace neighbourhood. We’ll be open seven days a week for delivery & collection, plus there’s a few seats to dine in too!

What will I be doing?
