Job summary

Yard Sale Pizza in London is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our fast‑paced kitchen team. You will support the back of house, help keep the kitchen clean, assist with basic prep during busy service, and ensure smooth operations during peak periods.

We value motivated team players who want to learn and grow. Expect evening shifts around 6pm–11:30pm, generous overtime terms, and opportunities for training and progression within a fun, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Works well in a team and supports colleagues during busy times.
• Willing to develop skills in a kitchen support role.

Responsibilities

• Working with the back of house team, maintaining the kitchen to high standards.
• Supporting the chefs during busy service.
• Keeping the kitchen running efficiently and spotlessly clean during and after service.
• Cleaning utensils and dishes alongside general kitchen duties.
• Helping with preparing ingredients for the chefs to ensure a smooth and efficient service during peak periods.
• Adhering to health and safety procedures within the kitchen.

Who are we?

Yard Sale Pizza fired up the oven in 2014, starting with weekly supper clubs from our backyard in Hackney. We now offer delivery, dine-in and takeaway in 17 of our favourite neighbourhoods. Known for our collaborations, we’ve teamed up with illustrators, musicians, international chefs & local eateries - all on the quest for the perfect pie!

We’ve won London’s most-loved restaurant in Time Out’s 2016 Love London awards, were awarded Best Cheap Eats in the Observer Food Monthly Awards in 2017, and were voted London’s favourite pizza in Time Out’s inaugural Clash of the Slices in 2022.
