Job summary

Benugo in Greater London is seeking a hands-on kitchen and service team member. You will keep kitchen and service areas clean to a high standard and ensure catering storage is organised.

You will receive, count and store goods, assist with some food preparation and service, and report incidents or faulty equipment while following Health and Safety, Food Safety and COSHH. Pay is £12.71 per hour, rising to £14.80 after probation, with meals on shift, pension, 28 days’ annual leave (plus birthday)

Qualifications

• Cleanliness and safe working practices.
• Food storage and stock handling.
• Some food preparation and service experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchens and service areas to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Keep catering storage areas organised and well stored.
• Receive, count, inspect and store goods and/or equipment as required.
• Assist with some food preparation and service when needed.
• Report incidents, accidents, loss, damage or unfit food and take appropriate action.
• Report broken equipment to Kitchen Leader and General Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety and COSHH.

Job description

Hourly Rate: £12.71ph increasing to £14.80ph after probation

• To ensure all areas of the kitchens and service areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness, providing a clean and safe working area.
• To maintain all catering storage areas, ensuring they are always organised and clean.
• To receive, count, inspect and store goods and/or equipment as and when required.
• To be involved with some food preparation and service when required.
• Report immediately any incidents or accidents, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take such actions as may be appropriate.
• Report any broken equipment to the Kitchen Leader and General Manager.
• To ensure all legislative and government guidelines are adhered to, such as Health and Safety, Food Safety and COSHH.
