Job summary

Benugo is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the culinary team across London stores and partner venues. The role offers a 30-hour week with shift patterns across five days in seven, and an hourly rate of £12.71.

You will help maintain clean kitchens, assist with storage, receive and store goods, and participate in limited food preparation. Generous shift benefits and a pension scheme are included.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highest standards of cleanliness in all kitchen and service areas.
• Keep catering storage areas clean and well organised.
• Receive, count, inspect and store goods/equipment as required.
• Assist with food preparation and service when needed.
• Report incidents, losses or unfit food and take appropriate action.
• Report broken equipment to Kitchen Leader and General Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety and COSHH.

Job Description

Hourly Rate: £12.71 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week (working any 5 days in a 7-day period)

Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure all areas of the kitchens and service areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness, providing a clean and safe working area.
• To maintain all catering storage areas, ensuring they are always organised and clean.
• To receive, count, inspect and store goods and/or equipment as and when required.
• To be involved with some food preparation and service when required.
• Report immediately any incidents or accidents, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take such actions as may be appropriate.
• Report any broken equipment to the Kitchen Leader and General Manager.
• To ensure all legislative and government guidelines are adhered to, such as Health and Safety, Food Safety and COSHH.
