Job summary

St Martins Lane Hotel, part of LGH Hotels Management in Covent Garden, seeks a Kitchen Porter to keep the kitchen running smoothly. You’ll support chefs, maintain cleanliness, and help ensure guests enjoy a flawless dining experience in our luxury lifestyle hotel.

• Maintaining high cleanliness standards in kitchen and back-of-house.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure utensils, crockery and equipment are cleaned and stored properly.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required.
• Support the receipt, storage and organisation of deliveries.
• Ensure waste is managed safely and efficiently.
• Keep floors, workstations, storage areas and kitchen equipment clean and well-maintained.
• Follow food hygiene, health & safety, and company policies at all times.
• Support the wider kitchen brigade during busy service periods.
• Help create a safe, organised and efficient working environment.

As a Kitchen Porter, you'll be an essential part of our culinary team, ensuring chefs have the equipment, cleanliness, and support they need to deliver exceptional food and unforgettable guest experiences.

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas
• Operating dishwashing equipment and ensuring all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and equipment are cleaned and stored correctly
• Assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required
• Supporting the receipt, storage, and organisation of deliveries
• Ensuring waste is managed safely and efficiently
• Keeping floors, workstations, storage areas, and kitchen equipment clean and well-maintained
• Following food hygiene, health & safety, and company policies at all times
