Yard Sale Pizza in London is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our vibrant team. You will support the back-of-house, keep the kitchen clean, and assist chefs during peak service.

We offer evening shifts, training, and plenty of opportunities to grow within a young, fast-growing pizzeria known for its collaborative and friendly culture. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy kitchen and wants to develop skills to become a pizza chef.

Responsibilities

• Work with the back of house team to maintain kitchen standards.
• Support chefs during busy service periods.
• Keep kitchen clean and organized during and after service.
• Wash utensils and dishes; assist with general kitchen duties.
• Prepare ingredients to ensure smooth service at peak times.
• Follow health and safety procedures in the kitchen.

Yard Sale Pizza fired up the oven in 2014, starting with weekly supper clubs from our backyard in Hackney. We now offer delivery, dine-in and takeaway in 17 of our favourite neighbourhoods. Known for our collaborations, we’ve teamed up with illustrators, musicians, international chefs & local eateries- all on the quest for the perfect pie! We’ve won London’s most-loved restaurant in Time Out’s 2016 Love London awards, were awarded Best Cheap Eats in the Observer Food Monthly Awards in 2017, and were voted London’s favourite pizza in Time Out’s inaugural Clash of the Slices in 2022. What will I be doing?

• Working with the back of house team, maintaining the kitchen to high standards.
• Supporting the chefs during busy service.
• Keeping the kitchen running efficiently and spotlessly clean during and after service.
• Cleaning utensils and dishes alongside general kitchen duties.
• Helping with preparing ingredients for the chefs to ensure a smooth and efficient service during peak periods.
• Adhering to health and safety procedures within the kitchen.

• Someone who is motivated and a great team player,
• Previous experience with a fast-paced environment.
• An individual who is keen to learn new skills and progress.
