Job summary

Away Resorts is seeking a kitchen porter for Sandy Balls Holiday Village in the New Forest. The role supports the kitchen team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality food and beverage service to guests.

You will help keep preparation areas clean, wash and store utensils, assist with deliveries and stock, and work alongside the kitchen and front-of-house teams to maximise margins and minimise waste.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and hygienic food prep areas and equipment.
• Wash utensils and dishes; store properly.
• Accept deliveries and rotate stock.
• Prepare food items and assist kitchen team to maximise margins and reduce waste.
• Support front of house to ensure guest satisfaction and quality service.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and COSHH.

What we need in a nutshell

We’re looking for a kitchen porter who can deliver delight to our holiday resort guests. You will be helping the kitchen team to run a safe, efficient and profitable food and beverage operation.

Who are we?

Sandy Balls Holiday Village is a world away from your day to day, with more trees than you can… well, shake a stick at. We have resident alpacas, a bush-craft school and forest laser tag, along with the usual holiday heroes of cycling and swimming. But New Forest holidays are also about tranquillity, which is why our Retreat spa and cosy, cottage-style lodges and caravans are here to help our guests unwind.

What you’ll be doing

You will be working in thekitchen ensuring guests receive a memorable experience through excellent service and food quality.

• Ensuring the food preparation areas, equipment and floorsare clean and hygienic.
• Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately.
• Accepting deliveries,ensuring ingredients are stored correctly and date rotated.
• Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare other items on the menu.
• Work alongside front of house and kitchen team tomaximise food margins andminimise wastage
• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Food Hygieneand COSHH regulations
