Job summary

The Falmouth, part of The Cornwall Hotel Collection, is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join the busy kitchen team. You will help keep areas clean, support chefs, and ensure efficient service during a festive period.

Christmas availability is essential; the role offers training, tips, staff discounts, and the opportunity to grow within our four hotels.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, hospitality or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in.
• Able to work well as part of a busy kitchen team.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Physically able to carry out the practical requirements of the role.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Must be available to work over Christmas.
• Ideally based locally or within a reasonable travelling distance of The Falmouth.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen areas, equipment and workspaces clean and organised.
• Wash and clean crockery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.
• Support chefs with basic food preparation when required.
• Ensure bins are emptied and waste is handled safely.
• Help with deliveries, stock rotation and putting supplies away.
• Keep floors and back-of-house areas clean and safe.
• Follow food hygiene, health & safety and cleaning procedures.
• Support the wider kitchen team during busy services.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join the kitchen team at The Falmouth on a full-time basis. Working alongside our chefs, you’ll help keep the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly.
