Job summary

The Alverton in Truro, part of Cornwall Hotel Collection, is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Server to join our team on a part-time basis. You’ll welcome guests, take orders, and serve with a high standard, helping to create a warm, memorable dining experience.

We value reliability, team spirit, and a positive attitude, with full training provided and share of tips. Flexible to work evenings and weekends is ideal.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
• Friendly, approachable and confident with guests.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Able to work well as part of a team.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays where required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and confidently.
• Serve food and drinks to a high standard.
• Keep tables, service areas and the restaurant/bar clean and presentable.
• Work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth service.
• Respond to guest requests and help create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Follow food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures.

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Food & Beverage Server to join the team at The Alverton on a part-time basis helping to create a warm and welcoming experience for every guest.
