Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is recruiting a Kitchen Porter for a luxury country hotel in Bridport. You will join a busy kitchen, assisting with basic prep, washing up, cleaning and receiving deliveries to support the chefs and maintain high standards throughout the operation.

Are you looking for a hands-on kitchen role within a high-end hospitality environment? This is an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join a luxury country hotel in Bridport, supporting the kitchen team and helping to maintain high standards across the operation.

This is a varied role where you'll be involved in basic food preparation, washing up, cleaning and receiving deliveries, making you an important part of the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• As Kitchen Porter, you'll support the kitchen team with the day-to-day tasks needed to keep the operation running smoothly and efficiently.
• Carry out basic food preparation to support the chefs and wider kitchen team.
• Complete washing up and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, work areas and associated facilities.
• Receive kitchen deliveries, checking and safely putting away stock as required.
• Support the wider kitchen team with day-to-day tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient service.

What we're looking for

• You'll be practical, reliable and happy to get stuck in, with a positive attitude towards working as part of a busy kitchen team.
• Previous kitchen, catering or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
• Reliable, hardworking and proactive, with a willingness to learn.
• Organised with good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Comfortable working as part of a team and supporting colleagues when required.
• Flexible and positive in your approach to a varied, hands-on role.
• Due to the rural location, your own car is essential. The role is based in Bridport and offers a great opportunity to develop your experience within a luxury country hotel.
