Job summary

Fowey Harbour Hotel is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. You will be well organized, work quickly to keep pots and pans clean, unload stock, maintain cleanliness and assist the chefs. A good command of English is essential and you must be eligible to work in the UK.

This role offers excellent progression opportunities within Harbour Hotels, on-the-job training and staff meals on duty, with uniform provided and access to staff discounts across the group.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen is preferred.
• Ability to work quickly and follow instruction.
• Good command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Unload and store stock accurately.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and tidy.
• Wash pots, pans and utensils; operate the dishwasher.
• Assist chefs as required.

The role…

We have a superb opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join the team. As Kitchen Porter you will need to be well organised and be able to work fast to keep the pots and pans clean for the chefs. The duties may include, unloading and putting away stock correctly, keeping the kitchen clean, emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors. The kitchen porter will make sure all the equipment is put away correctly, the washing up of pans, pots and operating the dishwasher machine. A good command of the English language is essential.
