Job summary

Sodexo Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join a friendly catering team in the UK. You will help keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly in a fast-paced environment, supporting chefs and the broader kitchen crew.

No previous kitchen experience is required, as full training is provided. The role offers a supportive team and opportunities to develop skills in catering, with emphasis on hygiene and customer service.

Qualifications

• A positive, friendly attitude and strong team-working.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Reliable and willing to support the wider kitchen team.
• Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential.
• Full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and equipment.
• Support chefs with basic preparation and general duties.
• Ensure dishes and utensils are washed and returned to the appropriate areas.
• Dispose of waste safely following site procedures.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages or requirements.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.
