Sodexo is hiring a Kitchen Porter in Aylesbury to support a busy catering team with cleanliness, organisation and smooth kitchen operations. The role suits individuals whether with previous kitchen experience or those starting a career in catering, and offers a welcoming, supportive team and on-the-job training.

You will contribute to maintaining high Kitchen standards, assist with basic prep, ensure proper washing of dishes and equipment, and help uphold health and safety regulations within a

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, utensils and equipment.
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic prep and general duties.
• Ensure dishes and pots are washed and returned to the correct areas.
• Dispose of waste safely following site procedures.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages.
• Follow all food safety and health & safety regulations.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen, utensils and equipment.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic preparation and general kitchen duties.
• Ensure dishes, pots and equipment are washed efficiently and returned to the appropriate areas.
• Dispose of waste safely and correctly, following site procedures.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report any shortages or requirements to the appropriate person.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations at all times.

What you'llbring:

• A positive, friendly attitude with a strong team-working approach.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness and hygiene.
• Reliable and willing to support the wider kitchen team when needed.
• Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential.
• Full training will be provided to help you succeed in the role.
