Job summary

The Amble Inn, part of The Inn Collection Group, is hiring a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team with high hygiene standards and a friendly service culture.

You’ll work as part of a close-knit team, assist with wash-up and basic prep, and follow cleaning schedules to keep the kitchen running smoothly in a fast-paced coastal pub. The role is on-site in Amble, with age-related pay for under 21s and opportunities to learn through development programs.

• Maintain the wash-up area and kitchen hygiene.
• Assist with basic food preparation and equipment cleaning.

As Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen team by maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene. Your positive attitude, teamwork skills, and willingness to learn will be essential as you manage the wash-up area, ensure kitchen equipment cleanliness, and assist with basic food preparation.

You’ll work closely with team members and customers, demonstrating confidence and courtesy in all interactions. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to personal presentation. You’ll be responsible for keeping the kitchen running smoothly by following the cleaning schedule and taking on other general duties as directed.
