Job summary

The Seaburn Inn, part of The Inn Collection Group, Sunderland, is hiring a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team. You’ll maintain high standards of food hygiene, manage the wash-up area, and assist with basic prep in a fast-paced environment.

We seek a positive attitude, strong teamwork, and a willingness to learn, with flexibility and professional presentation. Training and progression opportunities are provided by our Lead-Inn program.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
• Knowledge of basic food hygiene practices.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
• Able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and wash-up area.
• Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen cleanliness.
• Support kitchen team and interact with customers professionally.
• Follow cleaning schedule and general duties as directed.

You’ll Fit Right Inn

As Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen team by maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene. Your positive attitude, teamwork skills, and willingness to learn will be essential as you manage the wash-up area, ensure kitchen equipment cleanliness, and assist with basic food preparation.

You’ll work closely with team members and customers, demonstrating confidence and courtesy in all interactions. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to personal presentation. You’ll be responsible for keeping the kitchen running smoothly by following the cleaning schedule and taking on other general duties as directed.
