The Wordsworth Inn in Grasmere is preparing to open its doors, and we're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team from day one. With 55 bedrooms, 196 internal covers and 148 external covers, this is a substantial, food-led operation with ambitious plans, located in the heart of Grasmere.

Whatever your role, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to creating exceptional guest experiences and help establish The Wordsworth Inn as a destination known for outstanding hospitality.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality preferred.
• Able to follow cleaning schedules.
• Flexible and presentable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highest standards of food hygiene in the kitchen wash-up area.
• Keep kitchen equipment clean and organized.
• Assist with basic food preparation as required.
• Support the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.

You'll Fit Right Inn

As Kitchen Porter, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen team by maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene. Your positive attitude, teamwork skills, and willingness to learn will be essential as you manage the wash-up area, ensure kitchen equipment cleanliness, and assist with basic food preparation.

You'll work closely with team members and customers, demonstrating confidence and courtesy in all interactions. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to personal presentation. You'll be responsible for keeping the kitchen running smoothly by following the cleaning schedule and taking on other general duties as directed.
