Away Resorts in Sandy Balls Holiday Village seeks an Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead a busy kitchen team, ensuring meals meet exacting standards and guest expectations. The role requires resilience, organisation and a proactive approach to training and motivating staff.

You will manage stock, support recruitment, and help wrap up daily operations, with shifts spanning mornings to evenings, including busy peak periods.

Qualifications

• NVQ or equivalent food preparation qualification.
• Food hygiene certificates or equivalent.
• Experience leading busy kitchen teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver high-standard meals.
• Oversee stock management, ordering, and stock takes.
• Assist in training, recruitment, and rota writing.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene laws.
• Maintain quality control before dishes reach guests.
• Work across shifts, including evenings and weekends when required.
