The Stonegallows Inn in Taunton, part of Greene King, is seeking a Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to lead the day-to-day running of the kitchen in a busy pub setting. You’ll manage the team, ensure high food quality and service, and drive kitchen standards.

You’ll have previous kitchen leadership experience, strong people skills, and solid knowledge of food safety and allergens. The role includes cost control, stock management and delivering great guest experiences, with a salary of £34,000–£38,000

Formación

• Previous experience as Kitchen Manager/Head Chef/Sous Chef or similar.
• Experience in busy pub/high-volume kitchen.
• Strong people leadership and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of food safety, allergens and kitchen compliance.
• Experience managing stock, waste and kitchen costs.

• Leading, motivating and developing the kitchen team.
• Maintaining consistently high food quality and presentation.
• Ensuring food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures are followed.
• Managing stock, ordering and controlling waste.
• Keeping an eye on kitchen costs and supporting GP performance.
• Organising the kitchen team for smooth services.
• Working with the management team to deliver a great guest experience.
• Coaching the team to develop skills and confidence.
