Job summary

Greene King is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager or Head Chef to own the kitchen at Darrington, leading from the front, building a strong team and driving standards.

You will develop people, implement robust processes and maintain high food quality, presentation and safety across busy services, while collaborating with the General Manager to hit food and commercial goals across the pub, hotel and events.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a busy kitchen in pub/hotel settings.
• Experience recruiting, training and coaching kitchen staff.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, allergens and HACCP.
• Commercial awareness of kitchen's role in business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen from the front and develop the team.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and service.
• Manage stock takes, ordering, rotation and wastage.
• Ensure safe, hygienic operations and compliance.
