Position: Permanent experienced Kitchen Manager

Salary: Grade E SCP 11 (£27,269) to SCP 17 (£30,060) pro rata
Actual Salary: £23,951 to £26,403 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time plus 10 days
Start date: 1 July 2025

We are seeking an experienced, organized, enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Kitchen Manager with excellent cooking skills and managerial experience to inspire and lead our catering team.

Our schools serve many 'foodie children' eager to enjoy your culinary creations!

The Federation comprises:

• Two mainstream primary schools: Cherry Tree
• A large special needs primary school: Green Fold
• The Orchards Nursery, offering provision for 2-year-olds and a SEN High Needs Base

There are two kitchens, located on the Upper and Lower Sites, catering for all four sites. The facilities are well-resourced and maintained. Our shared mission statement is:

Key skills and qualities required:

• Proven experience in mass catering
• Passion for food and customer service
• Ability to plan and produce menus considering legislative requirements and the needs of children and staff
• Ability to manage budgets effectively
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure with humor
• NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation & Cooking or equivalent
• Food Hygiene Certificate
