Job Title: Kitchen Manager

We are seeking a permanent, experienced Kitchen Manager with excellent organizational, creative, and leadership skills, along with strong cooking abilities, to inspire and lead our catering team.

Position Details
  • Salary: Grade E SCP 11 (£27,269) to SCP 17 (£30,060) pro-rata
  • Actual Salary: £23,951 to £26,403 per annum
  • Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 10 days
  • Start date: 1 July 2025
About Us

Our schools include Cherry Tree (mainstream primary), Green Fold (special needs primary), and The Orchards Nursery with provision for 2-year-olds and a SEN High Needs Base. We operate two kitchens on different sites, catering for all four sites, with well-resourced and maintained facilities. Our shared mission is:

Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience in mass catering
  • Passion for food and customer service
  • Ability to plan and produce menus considering legislative and school needs
  • Ability to manage budgets effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with a good sense of humor
  • NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation & Cooking or equivalent
  • Food Hygiene Certificate
