Job summary

WSH Group, in partnership with John Lewis, is seeking an enthusiastic hospitality team member to maintain exceptional customer service and uphold stringent food safety standards.

Key duties include rotating duties across areas, organising deliveries, and assisting with stock, cost control, and daily briefings. You will interact with customers, handle tills, and contribute to training and improving labour efficiency.

Qualifications

Ensure customer experience is maintained to the highest standard.
Maintain food safety compliance including allergen checks and temperature checks.
Rotate to a specific area or food offering with flexibility to move as needed.
Organise deliveries, check delivery notes and report discrepancies.
Support management in weekly stock variance targets and food cost.
Ensure all dishes/menu items are produced consistently to specifications.
Carry out daily team briefings and assist with team queries.
Adhere to Health and Safety, Food Safety and COSHH regulations.
Work on tills, handle cash, take orders and serve food and drinks.
Assist team development and training, especially on food & beverage service and labour targets.
Attend training and development courses as requested.
Represent WSH and John Lewis professionally in behaviour and appearance.

Job description

To be responsible for a specific area or food offering, with flexibility to rotate to a new area if needed.
To organise deliveries, checking delivery notes, and reporting any discrepancies.
To support the management in the delivery of weekly stock variance targets and food cost.
Ensure all dishes and menu items are produced consistently in line with the specifications.
To carry out daily team briefings and assist with any team queries.
To ensure all legislative and government guidelines are adhered to, such as Health and Safety, Food Safety and COSHH.
To work on tills, following the cash handling procedures, taking orders and serving food and drinks.
To assist with the development of the team, providing training where required, especially on the areas of the food and beverage service, supporting management in the delivery of labour effectiveness targets.
To attend all training and development course as requested.
To always represent WSH and John Lewis in a professional manner in your behaviour appearance and knowledge.
To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management.
