Job summary

WSH Group, in partnership with Benugo and John Lewis, seeks a Kitchen Leader to support the culinary team across in-store restaurants. You will oversee service, ensure quality and consistency, and manage daily operations.

This role requires a hands-on leader with strong food safety knowledge, team development, and the ability to adapt across areas while upholding brand standards in high-traffic environments.

Responsibilities

Maintain customer experience to the highest standard at all times.
Ensure food safety compliance including allergen checks and temperature controls.
Rotate to different food areas as needed.
Organise deliveries, check delivery notes and report discrepancies.
Support weekly stock variance targets and food cost.
Ensure dishes are produced to specifications consistently.
Carry out daily team briefings and address team queries.
Adhere to Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH guidelines.
Work on tills, take orders and serve food and drinks.
Provide training to develop the team in food & beverage service.
Attend training courses and represent WSH and John Lewis professionally.

We are seeking an exceptional Kitchen Leader to support the culinary team in excellence. This is a rare opportunity representing two respected brands, delivering an outstanding food experience that reflects innovation, quality, and attention to detail at every level.

Job Description

Ensuring the customer experience is maintained to the highest standard at all times.
To ensure food safety compliance including any allergen, temperature checks and administration is completed.
To be responsible for a specific area or food offering, with flexibility to rotate to a new area if needed.
To organise deliveries, checking delivery notes, and reporting any discrepancies.
To support the management in the delivery of weekly stock variance targets and food cost.
Ensure all dishes and menu items are produced consistently in line with the specifications.
To carry out daily team briefings and assist with any team queries.
To ensure all legislative and government guidelines are adhered to, such as Health and Safety, Food Safety and COSHH.
To work on tills, following the cash handling procedures, taking orders and serving food and drinks.
To assist with the development of the team, providing training where required, especially on the areas of the food and beverage service, supporting management in the delivery of labour effectiveness targets.
To attend all training and development course as requested.
To always represent WSH and John Lewis in a professional manner in your behaviour appearance and knowledge.
To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management.
