Job summary

Holmes Care Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Cook to support our kitchen team in delivering nutritious meals for residents. You will work closely with the Cook to ensure high quality, appealing dishes while respecting dietary requirements and portion control.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or catering environments.
• Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate is preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cook to coordinate, prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Work with the Cook to review menus.
• Ensure prepared food is high quality and well presented.
• Adhere to dietary requirements and ensure ingredients are available.
• Clean and maintain a tidy kitchen area (floors, cookers, fridges, etc.).
• Assist with stock taking and storage of goods, including deliveries.
