Job summary

Holmes Care Group is seeking an experienced Cook to join a caring team in Scotland. You will prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals for residents, accommodating various dietary needs and maintaining high kitchen hygiene standards.

You will manage stock, assist with menu planning, and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook in a care or kitchen setting.
• Ability to meet varied dietary requirements.
• Holds Food Hygiene Certificates and relevant qualifications.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare varied, tasty menus for residents while meeting dietary needs.
• Accommodate special dietary requirements where needed.
• Clean and maintain overall kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Prepare and serve meals to residents.
• Stock control and placing orders as required.
• Maintain up-to-date food safety documentation.
• Guide and coach the kitchen team.
