Job summary

Dobbies is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our restaurant team. You will prepare and present food according to menu specifications, assist with general kitchen duties, and work with the team to ensure meals are plated well and served on time.

You’ll also learn about dietary requirements, allergies, and health and safety practices in a busy environment. The role focuses on delivering great customer experiences through food service excellence and teamwork, in our garden centre restaurants

Qualifications

• Experience of working in food service.
• Knowledge and understanding of kitchen health, safety and hygiene rules.
• Relevant food safety qualifications would be ideal.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and presenting food in line with menu specification.
• Working proactively and supporting general kitchen duties.
• Working alongside the kitchen team to ensure meals are presented to a high standard and on time.
• Developing knowledge of dietary requirements, allergies and health & safety.
