Baxterstorey is hiring a Kitchen Assistant for a busy Burton location on a temporary contract. You will support chefs, handle basic prep, serve customers, and maintain hygiene across shifts. Training is provided, no prior kitchen experience required but valued.

The role offers a 7-day operation pattern with varied shifts and a competitive hourly rate. Benefits include meals on shift and employee support programs.

Qualifications

• Hardworking and enthusiastic behavior in a kitchen setting.

• Reliable, punctual and eager to learn on the job.
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation and plating.
• Serve customers and operate cashless tills.
• Keep kitchen areas clean, hygienic and organised.
• Use dishwashing equipment and wash kitchenware by hand.
• Handle deliveries and store stock properly.
• Empty bins, clean floors and maintain hygiene.
• Follow food safety and health regulations.
• Support stock rotation and report low inventory.
