Baxterstorey is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join a busy team on a temporary contract in Burton. The role supports chefs, handles food prep, serving, and kitchen hygiene across 8-hour shifts.

Salary starts at £12.80 per hour with a seven-day operation and potential overtime. Training is provided; meals are available on shift at some venues. This role offers a rewarding opportunity in hospitality operations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting chefs with basic food preparation (e.g. chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, plating dishes).
• Serving customers and use of cashless tills.
• Keeping all kitchen areas clean, hygienic, and organised at all times.
• Operating dishwashing equipment and handwashing kitchenware.
• Handling deliveries and ensuring stock is stored properly.
• Emptying bins, cleaning floors, and maintaining general hygiene.
• Following all food safety and health regulations.
• Helping with stock rotation and reporting low inventory levels.
• Filling vending machines.

Baxterstorey are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at a busy location fin Burton on a temporary contract.

Working as a Kitchen Assistant for Baxterstorey will require you to be an ambassador for this brand and deliver food that creates lasting memories. As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently.

Job Description

Temporary contract until January 2027

Salary: from £12.80 per hour

Various shifts available:

8:00am -12:00pm

4:00pm - 8:00pm

0:00am - 4:00am

7 day a week operation

12 hour contract - Overtime Available
