Job summary

Dobbies Garden Centres Ltd. is seeking Kitchen Assistants to help deliver excellent customer experiences in our restaurant areas. You will prepare and present food, support kitchen duties, and work with the team to ensure meals are served on time and to a high standard.

We value passion for food, teamwork, and a proactive approach. Relevant food safety awareness is appreciated as part of maintaining high hygiene standards across our venues.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service is preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen health, safety and hygiene rules.
• Food safety qualifications would be ideal.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and presenting food in line with menu specification.
• Working proactively and supporting general kitchen duties.
• Working alongside the kitchen team to ensure meals are presented to a high standard and on time.
• Developing knowledge of dietary requirements, allergies and health & safety.
• A team player and confident communicator who is eager to learn new skills and gain new experiences.
• Flourish in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Experience of working in food service.
• Knowledge and understanding of kitchen health, safety and hygiene rules.
