Job summary

Hartford Care Group's Select Health Care unit in Wolverhampton is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the caring team. You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen aligned with hygiene standards.

Key requirements include Level 2 Food Hygiene (Level 3 desirable), previous kitchen experience, and flexibility to work 26 hours across four days. The role includes DBS processing and opportunities for training and career development.

Salary: £12.71 per hour

About Royal Park:

Royal Park is a purpose-built care facility to meet the needs of 22 service users with complex nursing needs. Royal Park is located in Bilston, a suburb of Wolverhampton.

About the role:

The role of a Kitchen Assistant at Select is to support the kitchen team in preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents. Duties include food preparation, washing dishes, cleaning kitchen areas and equipment, following food hygiene and health and safety procedures, and helping to ensure residents’ dietary needs and preferences are met. The role also involves working as part of a team and maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming kitchen environment.

What we need from you

• Level 2 Food Hygiene is essential, level 3 would be desirable.
• Previous kitchen assistant experience is essential
• To be able to do flexible working
