Job summary

Clarendon Care Services Ltd in Bromsgrove is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to join the team at St Johns Nursing Home. You will assist in food preparation, service and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen to ensure residents enjoy meals and feel at home.

We welcome applicants with any prior kitchen experience and provide training to help you perform duties confidently. The role includes 29 hours per week with pay at £12.71 per hour.

• Previous kitchen experience is welcome, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are important.
• We provide training to help you carry out duties confidently.

Responsibilities

• Help with food preparation and presentation of meals, snacks and drinks.
• Support meal service while following residents' dietary needs and allergens.
• Wash up and clean kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas.
• Rotate stock and help put away deliveries safely.
• Follow food hygiene and health and safety procedures.

We're looking for a reliable and caring Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team and help keep our kitchen running smoothly.

Your role

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Contracted hours: 29 hours per week

Location: St Johns Street, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, B61 8QT

Working alongside the cook and care team, you will help prepare and serve food while maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen. You will:

• Help with food preparation and the presentation of meals, snacks and drinks.
• Support meal service, following guidance on residents' individual dietary needs and allergens.
• Wash up and clean kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas.
• Help put away deliveries and rotate stock safely.
• Follow food hygiene, infection prevention and health and safety procedures.

Your attention to detail and willingness to help will support a mealtime experience that residents can look forward to.
