Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Tegfield House, Winchester, to help provide nutritious meals under hygienic conditions and in line with current food laws. You will work as part of a caring team to create a warm and supportive dining environment.

In this role you may prepare vegetables for meals, assist with breakfast deliveries to residents' rooms, wash up after service, and help with baking activities, always keeping residents at the heart of what you do.

Qualifications

• Experience in food prep is advantageous.
• Able to work as part of a team in a residential setting.
• Commitment to cleanliness, food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing nutritious meals under hygienic conditions.
• Support the kitchen team to create a warm, caring dining atmosphere.
• Prepare vegetables, deliver breakfast to residents' rooms, and wash up after service.
• Assist residents with baking activities and other kitchen tasks as required.

Role : Kitchen Assistant /35 hours per week
Location:Tegfield House - Winchester, Hampshire (SO22 5HD)

The Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be assisting in the provision of nutritious meals under hygienic conditions while being aware of and act in accordance with current food laws and regulations, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.

Whether you are preparing vegetables for a curry night, delivering a resident’s breakfast to their room, washing up after the lunch period, or assisting residents with a baking morning you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.
