Job summary

Fodder is an award-winning farm shop and café celebrating the very best Yorkshire food. This Kitchen Assistant/chef role supports the daily operations of the kitchen and the Fodder takeaway, helping ensure quality food and service.

We offer a 40-hour week across 5 days, day shifts with no evenings, and a positive work-life balance. You will join a friendly, values-led team that aims to develop people, menus and the customer experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing top-quality Yorkshire food during the day while supporting kitchen operations.
• Prepare, cook and present food to high standards in a timely manner.
• Liaise with the catering team to ensure clear orders and smooth service.
• Maintain cleanliness of pot wash area and ensure equipment is cleaned.
• Carry out daily/weekly cleaning tasks per schedule to uphold hygiene.
• Follow HACCP plan and maintain food hygiene records.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and contribute to events.
• Represent the Society values with fairness and respect.
• Be an ambassador for Fodder and the Society.
