Job summary

Fodder in Harrogate is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the daily kitchen operations and take pride in delivering high quality Yorkshire food. You will assist in preparing, cooking and presenting meals, while helping with the smooth flow from kitchen to customer.

Working 40 hours across seven days, including weekends, you will join a practical team focused on cleanliness, safety and excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to ensure consistent, high‑quality products.
• Liaise with the catering team to communicate orders clearly and ensure smooth service from kitchen to customer.
• Keep pot wash area and equipment clean and tidy.
• Carry out daily/weekly cleaning tasks to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Work with the team following Society procedures and policies.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and HACCP principles.
• Support events and occasional evenings as required.
