Job summary

Marston's PLC is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help a busy kitchen team in a fast-paced setting, with opportunities to learn new skills for both kitchen work and home use.

You’ll work toward becoming a Commis Chef through our internal DNA pathway, while helping ensure high food safety standards and clean kitchen areas. Flexible, part-time hours and staff discounts are available.

• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a kitchen role.
• Commitment to teamwork and contributing to a positive work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment and help with prep and service.
• Help maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and clutter-free, contributing to an efficient workspace.
• Take pride in the food you prep and serve and be a team player.
• Assist in progression toward the Commis Chef role through our internal pathway.

As a Kitchen Assistant you'll: Be eager to learn and get stuck in, in an environment that's fast paced with the opportunity to pick up plenty of new skills that can be used in our kitchen and at home.

• Have the opportunity to progress and learn the ropes of the Commis Chef role.
• Help to maintain high food and safety standards across the kitchen.
• Help to maintain that all kitchen areas remain clean and clutter free.
• Take pride in the food you prep and serve.
• Be committed to being a team player.
