Thomas Franks in Taunton is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our busy, fresh-food kitchen. You will work under a tight schedule, helping to prepare dishes with seasonal ingredients. This role suits a team player who wants to grow in a fast-paced catering environment.

Formación

• Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant.

Responsabilidades

• Work well in a team, providing food and a great service.
• Prepare food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following brand standards.
• Ensure company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
• Follow Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen procedures.
• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage.
• Provide excellent customer service; be a great team player.
• Assist Chefs with some food prep.

We are looking for a talented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at one of our fabulous locations in Taunton.

You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant.

You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.

Key responsibilities

• To work well in a team, providing food and a great service
• To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
• Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
• Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Excellent customer service skills
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep

Knowledge / competencies

• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
