Job summary

Thomas Franks is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Bath locations. This part-time, permanent role offers 35 hours per week during term-time (40 weeks) with a 7-day operation and five days of work per week.

It includes free on-site parking, meals on duty, and a strong emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients. You will join a fast-paced kitchen, assist chefs, and help deliver high-quality meals while following brand standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to follow brand standards and use fresh ingredients.
• Good verbal English and written English.
• Willingness to work 5 days out of 7 during a 40-week term.

Contract: Part Time , Permanent
Salary: 13.50 per hour
Hours: 35 per week

A mixed private school for both boarding and day pupils. Situated in Bath, Somerset. Catering for 750 students and teachers daily, we offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch, supper and evening snack. Lots of hospitality at this location. This is a term only contract, working 40 weeks. This is a 7-day operation so working pattern would be 5 out of 7. Additional benefit of this location is free on-site parking.

We are looking for a talented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at one of our fabulous locations in Bath.

You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant.

You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.

Key responsibilities:

• To work well in a team, providing food and a great service
• To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
• Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
• Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep

You will have the following skills:

• A genuine interest in food & excellent customer service

• An organised Kitchen Assistant with attention to detail
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
