Job summary

The Kitchen Porter role at Peoplebank in Shifnal supports the kitchen team to maintain a clean, hygienic environment and organised workspace. You will help with deliveries, stock rotation and basic food prep, enabling the chefs to work efficiently.

This hands-on position offers a friendly team and opportunities to learn; previous kitchen experience is beneficial but drive and willingness to learn are valued. Meals on duty, discounts, and rewards are part of the package.

The Role of Kitchen Porter

The Kitchen Porter will be responsible for supporting the kitchen team to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.

The Kitchen Porter will be responsible for ensuring a clean kitchen that is well organised to enable the team to work efficiently. The Kitchen Porter will ensure that all standards are maintained and that they work collaboratively and safely at all times. The Kitchen Porter will support the chef brigade and have the opportunity to develop some basic kitchen skills. The role also supports with putting deliveries away and stock rotation so fantastic organisation and being adaptable are attributes required in the role.

The role is a hands-on role for someone who is flexible and would enjoy supporting the delivery of a great food experience and being part of a strong team.

The Kitchen Porter will ideally be experienced in a kitchen environment however if you have the drive and want to learn the role, we will help you develop and grow skills.
