About You
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals residents will love. You’ll maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether managing food supplies, training new starters, or cleaning, you’ll always prioritize Resident wellbeing.
We seek candidates with some kitchen experience, ideally with an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willingness to attain one. Strong organizational skills, good record-keeping, and the ability to follow recipes are essential. You should communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to act on concerns. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and seek advice or escalate concerns as needed.
