Job summary

Darcy House Care Home in Matlock, Derbyshire, is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to help deliver high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen. The role is hands-on and supports food preparation, hygiene, deliveries, and stock organisation, working closely with the Chef and team to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

The position offers a consistent routine and a chance to develop in a supportive environment; you will be required to work alternate weekends, with a salary of £12.71 per hour and a 36-hour

Our brand-new, luxury care home is located in the beautiful town of Matlock in Derbyshire. We provide personalised Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Palliative & Nursing care for 78-residents.

Kitchen Assistant

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 36 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
