Job summary

Darcy House Care Home in Matlock, Derbyshire, is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join a brand-new, luxury care environment. You will support the delivery of high-quality meals in a safe, well-organised kitchen and work closely with the Chef and team to ensure smooth daily operations.

You will assist with food preparation, cleanliness, deliveries and stock organisation, contributing to a consistent, practical routine. The role requires occasional weekend work as part of a supportive team.

Job description

Our brand-new, luxury care home is located in the beautiful town of Matlock in Derbyshire. We provide personalised Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Palliative & Nursing care for 78-residents.

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 36 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
