Job summary

Crosslaw House Care Home in Lanark is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the delivery of meals and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment. This hands-on role contributes to high standards of meal preparation and service.

You will assist with food preparation, storage and deliveries, working closely with the Chef and team to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely. Prior kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential, and full or part-time hours are available.

Job description

Located in Lanark, South Lanarkshire, our beautiful care home provides Nursing & Dementia care for 45-residents.

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to full time or part time hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
