Job summary

Kellan Group is recruiting General Kitchen Assistants for school kitchens in Leatherhead and the surrounding areas. This temporary/agency role offers flexible assignments across Leatherhead and nearby schools.

Ideal candidates will have UK kitchen experience, a willingness to obtain a Child Workforce DBS, and demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and good teamwork in a busy kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months' kitchen experience in the UK is essential.
• A clean Enhanced DBS check for the Child Workforce, or willingness to obtain one.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude.
• The ability to work in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with basic food preparation.
• Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and hygienic kitchen.
• Assisting with serving meals to pupils and school staff.
• Following food hygiene, health and safety, and safeguarding procedures.
• Supporting the kitchen team with general duties as required.
