Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is hiring a Kitchen Assistant for a lovely primary school in the LE3 area of Leicester. Flexible / part-time hours and an opportunity to gain school-based experience. Prior kitchen, catering or school experience is desirable.

Responsibilities include helping prepare and serve meals, supporting the kitchen team, and upholding food hygiene and health & safety procedures to ensure a positive lunchtime experience for students.

Qualifications

• Kitchen/catering or school experience preferred but not essential.
• Level 2 Food Safety/Hygiene qualification required or willing to obtain it.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join a lovely primary school in the LE3 area of Leicester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with kitchen, catering or school experience who is looking for flexible work in a friendly school environment. Whether you're an experienced Kitchen Assistant or looking to build your experience within education, we'd love to hear from you!

What you'll be doing:

• Helping prepare and serve meals to pupils and staff
• Supporting the kitchen team with daily food preparation
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and organised
• Washing up and carrying out general kitchen duties
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Helping create a positive lunchtime experience for the children

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous kitchen, catering or school experience - desirable but not essential
• Has a Level 2 Food Safety/Hygiene qualification, or is willing to obtain one
• Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Is friendly and confident working around children
• Can be flexible and adapt to the needs of the school
• Is keen to get involved and become part of the school community
